HERSHBERGER ALICE (Margaret Alice) (nee Carr) September 20, 1932-April 15, 2024 Passed away on April 15, 2024 at Cathedral Village, Philadelphia. Born on September 20, 1932 to Dugald and Margaret Carr. Alice was the beloved sister of William Carr and Dorothy Jensen; the faithful wife of John R. Hershberger, Jr. (1929-2010); the devoted mother of James (1954-2011) (Susan), Robert (Denise), John (Sharon), and Richard (Anne Dorwart) Hershberger; the cherished grandmother of Margaret (Stefan) Kilyanek, Monica Hershberger (Dan Tramte), and Roger and Margaret Hershberger; and the celebrated great-grandmother of Helena Kilyanek and Anton Tramte.
Alice's devotion to family enabled her husband John's 30 year career as a U.S. Navy Commander and Chaplain. Alice was a dear friend to many throughout her life, most recently as a member of Cathedral Village Retirement Community.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10 A.M., St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 630 E. Cathedral Rd., Phila., PA 19128.
