The Very Reverend Peter Carey, Rector of St. Mary's
The Very Reverend Peter Carey is the Rector of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Cathedral Road, Philadelphia. He is also the Dean of the Wissahickon Deanery. From a very young age, Peter has recognized God’s grace in our lives and has strived to share God’s love in word and deed. Before entering ordained ministry, Peter worked for more than 15 years as an educator, teacher, and coach in several Independent Schools. He serves the Diocese of Pennsylvania on the Dean’s Council, the Diocesan Council, and on the LGBTQ+ Committee, and previously served on the Finance and Nominations Committee.
